- Lonnie was born In Mobile, Alabama on October 6, 1949
- He was the third of six children
- For high school he went to Williamson High School which was for black people only
- After college, Johnson worked In the Air Force weapons laboratory for the space nuclear power safety section
- After he worked there, he worked as a NASA engineer and helped get a galileo to inspect Juipter in 1979
- Nerf Gun: Invented toy gun operated by air pressure
- Stealth Bomber Technology: Helped created technology for aircraft that can't be detected by radar
- Johnson Thermoelectric Energy Converter (JTEC): Created device that converts solar energy to electricity
- Nursery Rhyme Diaper: Invented a diaper that play nursery rhymes when it gets dirty
Super Soaker
- The super soaker is a super high-powered water gun
- In 1989 Lonnie took the Super Soaker to the American International Toy Fair in New York City Buyers
- Before it was named the super soaker it was called the Power Drencher
- He called many toy companies but still could not get any toy companies to work with him.
- Finally a company named Larami worked with Lonnie to get his toy sold
- The super soaker has made billions of dollars in sales and is one of the most popular toys In the world
